Traditionally chain link fences are held in place by buried posts surrounded in concrete. My thought is to hinge 2 3 4 gates on 2 9 sliding gates that would bifold like bifold doors open close without taking a lot of space. Actually if you don t use concrete you can actually easily pull posts out of the ground using a hydraulic auto jack with a chain and large lag bolts. Galvanized steel is the strongest mesh.

The gates need to be only 4 tall and lightweight. With a hole that is the proper size either gravel or a polymer backfill can keep fence posts in place for many years. However it is possible to install a chain link fence without concrete. Thinking about using chain link tubing with ornamental loop wire fencing or attaching thin wood strips horizontally.
